เมื่อวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 2 พฤศจิกายน 2566 ร้อยเอก ธรรมนัส พรหมเผ่า รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์ เป็นประธานการประชุมคณะกรรมการพัฒนาเกลือทะเลไทย ครั้งที่ 2/2566 ณ ห้องประชุม 134 – 135 กระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์ โดยมีนายกฤษ อุตตมะเวทิน รองอธิบดีกรมส่งเสริมการเกษตร ผู้แทนเกษตรกรผู้ทำนาเกลือทะเลจาก 7 จังหวัด คณะกรรมการพัฒนาเกลือทะเลไทย และนางสาวนันทมาส ทองปลี ผู้อำนวยการกลุ่มส่งเสริมและพัฒนาเกลือทะเลไทย กองส่งเสริมวิสาหกิจชุมชน เข้าร่วมประชุมและทำหน้าที่เป็นฝ่ายเลขานุการ
ในการนี้ที่ประชุมได้ร่วมกันหามาตรการป้องกันและช่วยเหลือเกษตรกรชาวนาเกลือหากเกิดกรณีประสบกับปัญหาราคาเกลือตกต่ำ โดยที่ประธานกรรมการได้มอบหมายให้กรมส่งเสริมการเกษตร กรมส่งเสริมสหกรณ์ และกรมตรวจบัญชีสหกรณ์ หารือร่วมกันในการหามาตรการแทรกแซงราคาเกลือทะเล เพื่อให้กลไกราคาปรับตัวสูงขึ้น
อีกทั้งได้มอบหมายให้กรมส่งเสริมการเกษตร ประสานกับกระทรวงวัฒนธรรมในการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวงานอนุรักษ์และสืบสานภูมิปัญญาด้านเกลือทะเล ในพิธีแรกนาเกลือ และประเพณีทำขวัญเกลือเพื่อสร้างขวัญกำลังใจให้กับเกษตรกรผู้ทำนาเกลือทะเล และเป็นหนึ่งในแนวทางการส่งเสริม Soft power พร้อมทั้งเร่งผลักดันการดำเนินงานส่งเสริมและพัฒนาพื้นที่นาเกลือทะเลไทยเป็นมรดกทางการเกษตรโลก (GIAHS)
